Central government approves construction of over 5000 homes for J&K calamity-hit families

: The Central government has sanctioned construction of over 5000 homes for the families whose houses were damaged in the recent floods across Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for sanctioning the construction of 5,061 houses in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The construction of the houses is being done under a special project of PMAY-G.
The families whose homes were damaged in recent natural calamities across rural areas are the beneficiaries of the project.
LG Sinha said the move will restore safety and stability in the lives of thousands of affected households. “A new home will enable families to regain economic stability and significantly improve their overall well-being,” he said.
