Apni Party pitches candidates for Assembly by-elections in Budgam and Nagrota

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 15 (STC)
: Apni Party today announced its candidates for the upcoming by-elections for the Budgam and Nagrota assembly segments.
Mukhtar Ahmad Dar, son of Gh. Rasool Dar and resident of Humhamma, Budgam, has been nominated as the party candidate for the 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency. Similarly, Bodraj Bhagat, son of Shanker Das and resident of Domana Machine, Jammu, has been nominated as the party candidate for the 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency.
According to the Apni Party statement, the nominations have been recommended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC), Mohammad Dilawar and approved by the Party President, Syed Bukhari.
Earlier, the Party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) held a crucial meeting here to decide the candidates for the upcoming by-elections in the Budgam and Nagrota assembly segments. The meeting was presided over by PAC Chairman Mohammed Dilawar Mir. After a thorough discussion, the committee unanimously named candidates for both seats, reads the statement.
Besides Mohammad Dilawar Mir, the prominent party leaders who were present in the meeting included party President Altaf Bukhari, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Vice President Javaid Mustafa Mir, Additional General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, President of the party’s Youth Wing Yawar Mir, District President Budgam Advocate Owais Ashraf, and others.
