In a post on Facebook, veteran journalist, Sanam Aijaz, quoting sources states that MLA Ali Mohammad Dar from Chadura, narrated how a dispute over the Chadura bridge led to him being targeted. Despite CM Omar’s intervention, the minister allegedly transferred Dar’s nephew, Irshad Ahmad Mir (then AEE Pampore), to Aser Doda 300 km away as punishment.

An MLA from the Rajouri region, a retired judge, went further by alleging that the said minister diverted funds and requested Omar Abdullah to inquire into the corruption allegations leveled by some opposition leaders. He accused the said minister of holding the entire Pir Panchal division hostage, reads the FB post of the veteran journalist Sanam Aijaz.
The MLAs also pointed out the ministers selective behaviou as he visited opposition leader Engineer Rashid’s family in Handwara after his father’s death but skipped offering condolences to Ali Mohammad Dar’s family in Chadura, just 20 km from Srinagar, reads the post further.
Omar Abdullah listened quietly at first, holding his head in his hands, before strongly reprimanding three ministers and assuring strict action on the complaints
