Says tricolour symbol of collective strength, unity and unwavering patriotism

SRINAGAR, AUGUSY 12 (STC): Tricolour is a symbol of our collective strength, unity and unwavering patriotism, said Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha while leading the tricolour rally from SKICC to Botanical Garden here today.
A function was held on the occasion reflecting the confluence of two important national events organized on the occasion of the ‘Har Ghar Tricolour’ campaign and the 150th anniversary of the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’.
Manoj Sinha in his address on the occasion highlighted the spirit of unity, integrity and indomitable spirit of the people of India. He said that the Tricolour is a living manifestation of India’s collective consciousness and national pride. He said that the Tiranga Yatra held in the Kashmir Valley gives a clear message that India should never stop but always move forward. He said, “On this sacred land, the Tricolour is flying high as the living conscience of India and Vande Mataram is resonating as its eternal voice. It is a symbol of our collective strength, unity and unwavering patriotism.” The Lieutenant Governor said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was launched in the year 2022 under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, which aimed to reawaken the feeling of closeness, respect and emotional attachment towards the national flag in the heart of every Indian. He said, “When the Tricolour is hoisted simultaneously on lakhs of homes, the hearts of 140 crore Indians beat with the same spirit, the same faith and the same determination. Today, the Tiranga Yatra has become a festival of public consciousness, a tradition of patriotism and a cultural value that connects every citizen with the motherland.” Sinha said that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ He congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their splendid participation in the ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ campaigns and said that their enthusiasm and spirit have become a source of inspiration for the entire country. He said that the tricolour is the soul of our nation while ‘Vande Mataram’ is the eternal voice of that soul. Manoj Sinha urged the citizens to consider what their own role can be in building an India in line with the dreams of the country’s founders and great freedom fighters. He said that the martyrs defended the country with their blood, while today’s generation has to defend the country through character, integrity, hard work, unity and service. He said that the confluence of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ is not just a merger of two campaigns but an announcement of the beginning of a new era. The Lieutenant Governor said that this is a symbol of a Jammu and Kashmir that is full of self-confidence and is moving forward with strength towards the future, where “Vijyi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara” becomes the resolve of life in the heart of every citizen, every home is a center of patriotism and every heart beats with the heartbeat of national unity.
On this historic occasion, the Lieutenant Governor appealed to the people to play their collective and individual responsibility for shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir and India. He said that the tricolour should not only be hoisted on houses but should also be prominent in our thoughts, character and actions.
He said, “Let us pledge that the sacred spirit of ‘Vande Mataram’ will be visible in our every action, every decision and the discharge of every responsibility. We must pledge to repay the debt of the sacrifices of our immortal heroes by building a country that is prosperous, secure, just and opens the doors of equal opportunities to every citizen.”
He added that together we must build a Jammu and Kashmir where the three colours of the tricolour are prominent in the values ​​of life. We must create a Jammu and Kashmir that is economically strong and takes uninterrupted pride in Indian culture, civilization and spiritual values.
He said, “The future is ours. This century belongs to India. This is the era of India’s self-confidence, its courage and its undying national consciousness.”
On this occasion, Sinha honored the brave women and war heroes. He also inaugurated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ exhibition and honored the nodal officers of the ‘Vande Mataram’ campaign. During the ceremony, a special documentary was also presented by the Culture Department, after which a Tiranga concert was held.
On this occasion, artists paid tribute to the brave sons of the country through music.
