Modi, Netanyahu hold telephonic talks, discuss West Asia developments

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 06 (STC): Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a phone call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, reveals reports appearing in a cross section of media.
According to the reports, the teo prime ministers discussed regional security and the ongoing situation in West Asia, while reviewing the progress of the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership.
Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed Modi on the evolving regional and military developments. Modi shared India’s concerns regarding the instability, emphasized the protection and safety of civilians, and called for the early restoration of peace and regional stability, the reports said.
Both leaders reviewed the ongoing progress of the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership and committed to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors. They agreed to remain in touch as the regional situation continues to develop.
Notably, the relations between India and Israel have strengthened significantly in the last few years and the two countries continue to cooperate closely in various fields including defense, counter-terrorism, agricultural technology, efficient use of water resources, scientific research, trade and modern technology.
