PM Modi pays rich tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 16 (STC): Paying tributes to former Prime Minister and prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Vajpayee’s leadership, his style of governance and his commitment to public welfare will always remain a source of guidance for the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Vajpayee’s memorial “Sadiva Atal” in New Delhi today on his death anniversary and paid tribute to him. Recalling the national services and political insight of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the PM said he was an extraordinary strategist and a great leader, who had an extraordinary vision and dedicated his entire life to serving the country.
The Prime Minister wrote in his message on social media platform X, “Remembering Atal Ji on his death anniversary, I An extraordinary thinker, endowed with extraordinary vision and who dedicated his life to the service of the country.”
PM Modi said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s words, thoughts and practical efforts influenced many generations, while his leadership played a significant role in strengthening the country. He said that Vajpayee’s leadership, his style of governance and his commitment to public welfare will always remain a source of guidance for the country.
“Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s political life is considered an important chapter in India’s democratic history. Under his leadership, the country took important steps in various fields and his role in the emergence of the BJP as a strong political force in national politics is considered significant,” said Modi.
It’s pertinent to mention, Vajpayee passed away on August 16, 2018 in New Delhi.
