TEACHERS’ DAY: Cluster Head BHSS Nowpora Khanyar dedicates the day to the greatest teacher of Mankind, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05 (STC): Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Nowpora Khanyar, Srinagar, serving as the Cluster Head, celebrated Teachers’ Day 2026 by dedicating the day to the greatest teacher of mankind, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, through a special One-Day Seerat Conference and Seminar focusing on his life, teachings, ethics and exemplary character.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Syed Masrat Parveen, Cluster and Principal, BHSS Nowpora Khanyar, with enthusiastic participation from students and teaching staff of the Cluster Head School and its feeding schools.
The seminar highlighted Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as an exemplary teacher and role model, emphasising timeless values such as knowledge, compassion, honesty, patience, discipline, humility, kindness and responsible conduct. The speakers stressed that true education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge but also the development of good character, moral responsibility and empathy towards others.
The Teachers’ Day observance included a range of Seerat-based educational and inspirational activities, along with inter-school competitions in Tilawat (Husn-e-Qira’at), Naat (Husn-e-Naat), and Islamic Studies & Seerat-un-Nabi Quiz.
The programme also emphasised the vital role of teachers in shaping responsible, compassionate and morally upright citizens. Students were encouraged to reflect upon the teachings and character of the Prophet ﷺ and to translate knowledge into positive action and service to society.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Imam Dastageer Sahib, Khanyar; Syed Mudasir Geelani, International and renowned Naat Khwan; Aamir Ali Gazi; and Qari Taha Sahib, whose presence added grace, dignity and spiritual significance to the programme.
The distinguished guests emphasised that the finest tribute to the ideals of teaching and learning is to transform knowledge into good character, responsible action and service to humanity.
Dr. Syed Masrat Parveen, Principal, and Cluster BHSS Nowpora Khanyar, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the teaching staff, students and all those who contributed to making the programme meaningful and successful. She reiterated the school’s commitment to nurturing students who are academically competent, morally grounded, compassionate and socially responsible.
The programme concluded with a renewed resolve to make education a means of character-building and to inspire the younger generation to follow the noble teachings and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
