Veteran film actor Nana Patekar is no more

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 08 (STC): Veteran film actor Nana Patekar has died following a cardiac arrest, reports a cross section of media.
Reports said he was in Goa for an event and was last seen publicly at an event in Dona Paula on October 4.
Reportedly, he suffered severe chest pain at his home in Goa, following which a medical team was dispatched to his flat.
He was found unconscious and the doctors administered cardiac massage before being rushed to a private hospital in Dona Paula. The medical team at the hospital declared him dead at 5:20 AM.
According to the reports quoting the hospital, doctors continued attempts to restore Nana Patekar’s heartbeat for 45 minutes through CPR, but the actor remained in asystole throughout the resuscitation.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted today to ascertain the cause of death, says the report.
Nana Patekar was 75.
The veteran actor began his career with Gaman in 1978 and went on to deliver acclaimed performances in Krantiveer, Parinda, Prahaar, Ab Tak Chhappan, Raajneeti and Welcome.
Notably, he was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s O’ Romeo, released in February 2026. He also starred in Subedaar, Housefull 5 and Vanvaas, and starred in Prakash Jha’s Sankalp.
