Where ignorance is bliss!

It always has been like that

There are two types of disasters. The natural disasters
and human-induced disasters.
Ask a climatologist. He will tell you that the damming of rivers is quite normal in the geological scale and it is because of this that we witness the geological features all along the river course in the shape of ravines, precipices, gorges and lakes.
A one-odd event favouring damming or beaching of a natural dam often leads to creation of lakes or causation of floods down stream.
Such types of natural disasters are quite normal and they keep changing the landscape of the earth.
But calling all odd incidents of natural fury as a human-induced disaster is a fallacy which everyone is resorting to out of ignorance.
All floods are not Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) and all GLOF don’t lead to floods.
Just chill!
Though we can’t rule out the human-nduced changes in the climate to some extent but it is never to the extent we are witnessing.
This year we are facing a super EL Nino – a natural climate pattern defined by the warming of the ocean surface in the central and eastern tropical Pacific Ocean.
And such scale of downpour driven by westerly winds loaded with moisture is normal and happens once in decades!
Please don’t try to be experts in every field.
And I am writing this with a rider that I am also a student of climatology!
Ajazz!!
