Prominent businessman M Y Wani expires

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 28 (STC): A renowned businessman of the Kashmir Valley, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, passed away early this morning at 4:30 a.m. after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Khalid Wani and Aaquib Wani.
Mohammad Yousuf Wani was widely respected and admired in the business community for his gentle nature, ever-smiling face, and remarkable wit and humour. Beyond his professional excellence, he was known for his sincerity, integrity, and deep sense of dedication in all his dealings. His honesty and commitment to his work earned him not only the trust of his clients but also the affection of all who came in contact with him.
A people’s person in every sense, Wani’s warmth and humility made him immensely popular among friends, colleagues, and associates across Kashmir and beyond. His clientele, both in the Valley and in Delhi where he had worked for several years, are in deep shock over his sudden demise. Condolence messages have been pouring in thick and fast from Delhi’s business circles and his wide network of friends and admirers who remember him for his genuine heart and unwavering sincerity.
Meanwhile, his elder son, Khalid Wani, is a human resources consultant and a reputed influencer, known for his engaging personality and professional insight. His younger son, Aaquib Wani, is one of the country’s most acclaimed designers, with an impressive portfolio that includes design projects for some of the most reputed multinational companies in India and abroad.
It is worth mentioning that Mohammad Yousuf Wani hailed from a reputed business family that has long been associated with the promotion of Kashmiri art and crafts on global platforms.
People from across the Valley, including those connected with politics, trade, commerce, and social work, have condoled his demise and expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family.
According to family sources, no Chahrum (fourth-day ceremony) will be observed, and condolence meetings will be held only for three days at their residence in Green Avenue, Sector A, Peerbagh, Srinagar.
