PAHALGAM ANNIVERSARY: Top leadership pays tributes to terror attack victims

: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have paid tributes to the Pahalgam terror victims. Last year on April 22, terrorists had gunned down 26 tourists from across India at Pahalgam.
On the first anniversary of the the gruesome terror attack today, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tributes to the victims of the terror attack and warned that any attempt to harm the nation’s people or disrupt its unity will be met with “strength and clarity”.
In a post on X, Rajnath Singh said he was remembering the innocent people who lost their lives in the attack in the Jammu and Kashmir hill town on April 22, 2025.
“We share the enduring pain of their loved ones and families.
We will never forget those wounds inflicted on our nation,” the Defence Minister said.
He said that India has endured decades of cross-border terrorism, but asserted that the country’s response today is “firm, decisive and unwavering”.
“Through determined action, we have demonstrated that any attempt to harm our people or disrupt our unity will be met with strength and clarity,” he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a post on X said, “On this day, we solemnly remember the innocent lives we lost in the horrific Pahalgam terror attack last year.
The grief and pain of losing our people still remain in the hearts of every Indian.”
“Terrorism is the greatest enemy of humanity, against which we must stand united to fight and defeat. India will continue its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and those who harbour it,” the home minister added.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid solemn homage to the victims of the deadly terror attack.
In a post on X, LG Sinha said, “Humble tributes to the innocent souls who lost their lives in the gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam on this day in 2025.
Their memory endures indelibly in our hearts.”
The Lt Governor added that his thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, as the union territory remembers one of the worst terror strikes in the region in recent years.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the union territory remains united against terror and violence, asserting his government’s resolve to prevent loss of innocent lives.
In a post on X, CM Omar said one year after the attack, the administration stands in solidarity with the bereaved families.
“We remain committed to doing everything to ensure it never happens again,” the chief minister said.
He also offered prayers for the victims of what he termed a “cowardly attack” in Baisaran.
