Campaign to continue for restoration of statehood: CM’s Advisor Nasir Wani

BARAMULLA, AUGUST 03 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani on Monday said the recent protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi was the first step toward reminding the Centre of its commitment regarding statehood restoration.
“We went to Jantar Mantar to remind them that the promise made to us has not been fulfilled,” the CM’s advisor said and added that the sequence of events promised by the Centre included delimitation, elections, and restoration of statehood. While delimitation and Assembly elections have been completed, statehood is still awaited.
