DSEK Director presides over one-day workshop “Investing in leadership”

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 12 (STC): A one-day workshop titled “Investing in leadership” organised for newly evaluated Principals in Kashmir division of School Education Department was held today in Girls Higher Secondary Schools Kothibagh.
Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N.Itoo presided over the workshop. In his address, the Director said, “The key to successful leadership today is hard work and influence not authority. Such efforts will be continued to make the upcoming academic session effective.”
He stated that School heads should act as role models. He quoted an American writer “John C Maxwell” and said that ” A leader is one who knows the way’ goes the way and shows the way”
He assured all the heads of institutions of Kashmir Division that Directorate of school Education Kashmir would take all possible measures for effective teaching, learning process in the valley.
Dr. Itoo emphasized the importance of strong leadership in shaping the future of education in the region.He urged the participants to embrace innovation and adopt best practices to create a conducive learning environment for students.
Senior officers of SED , Principals, Educational Experts and former Chief Education Officers participated in the training program emphasized the importance of proper planning for effective administration and teaching learning process.
Remarkably, the programme aimed to equip the new school/cluster leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage their respective institutions/clusters
Joint Director School Education Kashmir Muhammad Mushtaq, Personnel Officer Engineer, Hilal Ahmad Butt and Chief Accounts Officer Syed Mubashira Hussain were also present in the training program. (STC)
