BJP’s Ashok Kaul blames Jawaharlal Nehru for consistently demeaning Dr. Ambedkar

: Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, while paying rich tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at a seminar held here today, blamed Congress leadership including former PM Jawaharlal Nehru, for consistently sidelining and demeaning Dr. Ambedkar during his lifetime. He asserted that despite Ambedkar’s immense contributions, he did not receive the recognition he truly deserved in that era.
“It is only in recent years that his contributions have been rightfully acknowledged and celebrated at the national level,” Koul said.
J&K BJP State General Secretary Mohammad Anwar Khan, J&K BJP State Secretaries Mudasir Wani and Arif Raja, Programme Incharge & Spokesperson Er. Sahil Bashir, along with other State office bearers and senior leaders, were present on the occasion.
Ashok Koul emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar was not merely the architect of the Indian Constitution but a visionary reformer who dedicated his life to establishing a just and equitable society. He said that Ambedkar’s ideals of social justice, equality, and empowerment of the marginalized sections remain the guiding principles for nation-building even today.
Koul stated that the BJP has consistently worked to uphold and promote the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar, ensuring that his vision is translated into concrete policies and welfare measures. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has taken historic steps to honor Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy, ensuring dignity, empowerment, and equal opportunities for all sections of society.
Taking a critical view of past governments, Koul remarked that Mohammad Anwar Khan, speaking on the occasion, said that the seminar was organized to commemorate the life, ideals, and unparalleled contributions of Dr. Ambedkar to the nation. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s relentless struggle against social discrimination and his role in shaping a progressive and inclusive India. He said that Ambedkar’s teachings continue to inspire generations to work towards equality and justice.
