Centre grants two years’ extension in central deputation of Dr. Shah Faisal in Ministry of Culture

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20 (STC): The central government has approved the extension of the central deputation period of IAS officer Dr. Shah Faisal for another two years on the post of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
According to an office memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Cabinet Committee on Appointments has approved the extension of the central deputation of Shah Faisal IAS (AGMUT: 2010) as Deputy Secretary on the recommendation of the Ministry of Culture. The period of deputation of Shah Faisal has been extended for another two years after September 18, 2026, which will be effective till September 18, 2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
This approval has been given on the basis of an office memorandum issued by the Ministry of Culture on July 14, 2026. Notably, Shah Faisal belongs to the 2010 batch of AGMUT cadre and has been serving on deputation in the Central Government since September 19, 2022.
