KP delegation meets CM Omar Abdullah, appreciates his response

: A visiting delegation of Kashmiri Pandits on Monday appreciated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s willingness to engage on matters concerning the Kashmiri Pandit community and the future of Jammu and Kashmir, noting that his “patient listening and candid exchange of views” provided a meaningful platform for dialogue.
The delegation expressed gratitude to Omar Abdullah for his “warm reception” and “statesman-like” gesture of hosting a dinner in their honour, describing the engagement as a step towards reconciliation and confidence-building in the Valley.
“The Chief Minister demonstrated a “
sincere commitment to fostering dialogue among all sections of society. The interaction was marked by warmth, openness and mutual respect, creating an atmosphere of trust and goodwill,” reads the statement issued after a two-day conclave.
Notably, the delegation paid obeisance at several heritage temples across the Valley, including the historic Sharda Temple near the Line of Control (LoC).
They appreciated the warmth, affection and goodwill extended by ordinary Kashmiris at every place, adding that the hospitality reaffirmed “the enduring bonds that have historically united the people of Kashmir.
Thanking Abdullah for his “courtesy, generosity and statesmanship,” the delegation said the interaction would remain “an encouraging step towards healing old wounds and fostering a shared vision for the future of Kashmir.”
