“Pleased to learn” about HC quashing PSA detention of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik:Altaf Bukhari

SRINAGAR, APRIL 27 (STC): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in a statement has welcomed the J&K High Court’s decision to quash the Public Safety Act (PSA) detention of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Mehraj Malik. He called it a reaffirmation of the rule of law.
Bukhari said he was “pleased to learn” about the court’s order, which he described as a long-awaited and welcome decision.
“This decision reaffirms our faith in the rule of law and the delivery of justice,” Bukhari said.
He extended his congratulations to Malik and his family, terming the development a “significant and relieving moment”.
The Apni Party chief also conveyed his greetings to the people of the Doda constituency, who elected Malik as their representative in the 2024 elections.
