Rozgar Mela to be held across country on September 19

Union Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey will distribute appointment letters in Jammu.

STINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 16 (STC): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will provide appointment letters to about 51,000 youth in various departments of the Central Government during the 20th Rozgar Mela to be held across the country on September 19.
The Rozgar Mela in Jammu and Kashmir will be held at the Jammu Convention Centre, where Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey will distribute appointment letters to the newly selected youth. Members of Parliament, senior officials of the administration and other dignitaries will also be present on the occasion.
According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will first address the youth from all places virtually, after which the Union Ministers, Chief Ministers or other eminent personalities present at different places will hand over the appointment letters to the newly selected candidates.
In Jammu, Union Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey, after the Prime Minister’s address, will distribute appointment letters to the youth from Jammu and Kashmir who have been selected in various departments of the Central Government.
Reportedly, the Ministry of Finance is the department with the highest number of appointments in the Rozgar Mela, however, many other departments of the Central Government have also contributed to a total of 51,000 appointments. The newly selected candidates belong to different parts of the country and will serve in different departments of the Central Government.
Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, who is also in-charge of the Department of Personnel and Training, will supervise and coordinate the Rozgar Mela program from New Delhi. He has previously coordinated all 19 editions of the Rozgar Mela. It is worth mentioning that the 19th Rozgar Mela was held on May 23, 2026 at about 45 locations across the country, during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided appointment letters to about 51,000 youth through video conferencing.
The Rozgar Mela has been described as part of the efforts to create employment opportunities for the youth and ensure transparent and timely appointments in various departments of the Central Government.
