LoP Sunil Sharma meets HM Amit Shah, demands complete rehabilitation of recent terror victims’ families

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 10 (STC): In a meeting with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah today, the leader of opposition in J&K assembly Sunil Sharma discussed the recent terror killings, including the attack on an ex-serviceman’s family in Kulgam. He demanded complete rehabilitation and education for the victims’ families.
Sunil Sharma also discussed pressing issues affecting Jammu and Kashmir. He raised concerns about the growing drug and narcotics menace, and the challenges posed by rising addiction. He also pushed for key mega-projects in Jammu province, focusing on road connectivity and tourism. The Home Minister Amit Shah promised to look into these demands and take necessary steps.
Sharma also stressed the need to strengthen and extend Village Defence Committees (VDCs) and Village Defence Guards (VDGs) in Jammu and Kashmir, citing their crucial role in combating terrorism.
The Home Minister assured every possible support to address the issues raised by Sharma. The Union Home Minister also pledged to meet with all BJP MLAs from Jammu and Kashmir, a move expected to bolster the party’s presence in the region and address lawmakers’ concerns.

Remarkably, the upcoming budget session of the J&K assembly, the present political scenario and law & order issues of J&K especially Jammu District were also discussed during the meeting. (STC)
