HM Amit Shah directs security agencies to go for complete eradication of terrorism in J&K

SRINAGAR, APRIL 09 (STC): This Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir has directed the security agencies to go for complete eradication of terrorism from the region and called for zero infiltration across the border.
The Home Minister stated this during the security review meeting in Srinagar on Tuesday. Remarkably, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Northern Command GoC Lt. General Suchindra Kumar, Deputy Chief of Army Staff, Corps Commanders of 15, 16, and 9 Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, and top officials from BSF, CRPF, and other paramilitary forces were present in the meeting.
Reports quoting sources reveal that the Home Minister assessed the overall security and law and order situation, urging the forces to maintain complete coordination to eliminate any infiltration threats and ensure a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism, particularly in the Jammu division. Reports further state that Shah expressed satisfaction with the operational capabilities of the security forces but stressed the need for continued vigilance and synergy among all agencies.The Home Minister also took stock of security arrangements for the upcoming annual Amarnath Yatra in the Union Territory.
